MID on PCB
The MID component can be assembled to a PCB the same way as any SMD itself. MIDs provide the possibility of contacting through metal coated plastic bumps, thus allowing a comparably space saving assembly.
At HARTING either non-conductive adhesives (NCAs) or reflow soldering are deployed.
For SMD assembled MIDs an appropriate solder hierarchy needs to be taken into account.
